YOUR DATA, EXPLAINED CLEARLY

Privacy Policy

Effective August 22, 2026

Level Up is an adult fitness application operated from Nova Scotia, Canada. This policy explains what information Level Up handles, why it is used, where it is stored and the choices available to you.

1. Scope

This policy applies to the Level Up Progressive Web App at app.leveluphypertrophy.com, the website at leveluphypertrophy.com, and the Level Up cloud backup service.

Level Up is intended only for people who are at least 18 years old. It is not directed to children.

2. Information we handle

Account information

When you sign in with Google, Google provides Level Up with a unique account identifier, your verified email address, display name and profile image. Level Up does not receive your Google password.

Information you enter

Depending on the features you use, this may include profile and training preferences, age, sex, height, body weight, goals, training experience, exercise preferences or limitations, workout plans, completed workouts, exercise names, sets, repetitions, loads, RIR, cardio entries, body measurements, sleep and water entries, nutrition goals and targets, schedules, progress records and app settings.

Backup information

When you are signed in, Level Up automatically creates and updates a backup of registered app storage on that device in your private cloud-backup record. You can also select Back Up Now to request an immediate backup. Before replacing a backup, Level Up compares versions; if the cloud contains a newer version, automatic upload pauses rather than overwriting it.

Technical and support information

Our hosting and security providers may process standard request information such as IP address, browser type, device type, timestamps and security events. For signed-in accounts, Level Up records a basic last-active timestamp so we can count recently active users and operate account services. If you contact support, we receive the information you include in your message. The in-app support feature may add basic browser and device details, but it does not automatically attach your workout, nutrition, weight or backup contents.

3. How we use information

Level Up uses information to:

  • authenticate your account and maintain your signed-in session;
  • provide workout planning, logging, progress, recovery and nutrition features;
  • create, update, retrieve and restore your cloud backup;
  • measure basic signed-in account activity and service use;
  • secure, maintain and troubleshoot the service;
  • respond to support, access, correction and deletion requests; and
  • comply with applicable law and protect users and the service.

Level Up does not sell or rent personal information and does not use your fitness records for targeted advertising.

4. Where information is stored

Your device

Level Up is offline-first. Most app information is initially stored in browser storage on your phone, tablet or computer. Removing the installed app, clearing browser data or resetting the browser may delete local information that has not been exported or backed up.

Level Up cloud backup

Account records, hashed session credentials, last-active timestamps and cloud backups are stored using Cloudflare services, including Cloudflare Workers and D1. Each backup is associated with your authenticated account.

Optional Google Drive backup

If you separately connect Google Drive backup, Level Up requests permission to create and access its backup file in your Google Drive. That copy is governed by your Google account settings and Google's privacy terms.

Cloudflare, Google and GitHub may process information in countries outside your province or country, including the United States. Information in another country may be subject to that country's laws.

5. Service providers and disclosure

Level Up relies on service providers only as needed to operate the service:

  • Google for Google Sign-In and optional Google Drive backup;
  • Cloudflare for domain, security, API and database services; and
  • GitHub for website and app hosting.

Information may also be disclosed when reasonably necessary to comply with law, respond to lawful process, investigate abuse or security incidents, or protect the rights and safety of Level Up and its users. Level Up does not provide your training records to advertisers or data brokers.

6. Retention and deletion

Local information remains on your device until you delete it, clear browser storage or remove the app data. A cloud backup remains until you replace it or delete your cloud account. Authentication sessions expire after approximately 30 days, although limited security records may be retained for a reasonable period.

You can delete your Level Up cloud account from More → Account & Cloud → Delete Cloud Account. This deletes the account record, associated sessions and Level Up cloud backup. It does not delete information still stored locally on your device or a separate backup in your Google Drive. Those copies must be removed separately.

7. Your choices and rights

You may:

  • export a portable JSON copy of your Level Up data;
  • use Back Up Now or download a cloud backup when you need an immediate sync;
  • sign out on a device to stop signed-in activity updates and automatic Level Up cloud backups from that device;
  • disconnect Google Drive backup;
  • correct information in the app;
  • request access to or correction of account information held by Level Up; and
  • delete your cloud account and backup.

To make a privacy request, email support@leveluphypertrophy.com. We may need to verify that you control the relevant account before fulfilling a request.

8. Security

Level Up uses safeguards intended to protect personal information, including HTTPS, authenticated account access, per-user backup records, hashed server-side session tokens and restricted web origins. No storage or transmission system is completely secure. You should maintain periodic JSON exports and protect access to your device and Google account.

9. Browser storage and analytics

Level Up uses browser storage necessary to remember your app data, preferences and signed-in session. For signed-in accounts, Level Up records a last-active timestamp to calculate basic counts such as users active within the past day or week. This does not create a detailed history of pages viewed, buttons pressed or workouts performed. Level Up does not currently use third-party advertising cookies or behavioural advertising. If broader analytics or advertising tools are introduced, this policy and any required consent choices will be updated before those tools are used.

10. Fitness information

Level Up uses information you enter to provide general fitness tracking and automated guidance. It is not a medical service and does not use your information to provide medical diagnosis or treatment. Avoid entering information that is not needed to use the app.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as Level Up changes. The effective date at the top will be revised, and material changes will be communicated in the app or on the website where appropriate.
